Colocation is the act of lodging exclusive servers and networking gear in a third party data center. Rather than keeping servers in-house, in workplaces or at a private server farm, organizations can decide to 'co-find' their gear by renting space in a colocation center. In this way, not at all like different sorts of hosting, where clients can lease space on a server claimed by a hosting provider, with colocation the client as of now possesses the server and rents the required physical space to house it inside a data center.
