1 To access the DNS Functions Menu, click on DNS Functions, on the main screen of your WebHost Manager interface.

2 Click on Edit a DNS Zone.

3 Enter the DNS zone that you want to edit in the Zone to Edit field and click on Do it.

4 Alter the DNS fields as you require, and click on Save when you have finished.

Select the domain name you want to use, click (Settings) and select Manage DNS. Enter the two custom nameservers your hosting provider gave you and click OK

To change the nameservers for your domain, do the following:

    1. Sign into your Namecheap account (The Sign In option is available in the top hat of the page).

    2. Select Domain List from the left sidebar and click the Manage button next to your domain:

    3. Find the Nameservers section and select your preferred option from the drop-down menu. Save changes using the corresponding icon:

You can choose from four possible options:

Namecheap BasicDNS - if you wish to point your domain to our default nameservers (v2):
    dns1.registrar-servers.com
    dns2.registrar-servers.com

Namecheap BackupDNS - if you wish to point your domain to our default nameservers (v1):
    dns1.name-services.com
    dns2.name-services.com
    dns3.name-services.com
    dns4.name-services.com
    dns5.name-services.com

Namecheap Web Hosting DNS - if you have a shared hosting plan with us and wish to point your domain to our shared hosting nameservers:
    dns1.namecheaphosting.com
    dns2.namecheaphosting.com

CustomDNS - if you wish to point your domain to custom nameservers (for example, your Personal DNS servers or third-party hosting nameservers if your domain is hosted with another DNS provider.

NOTE: Do *not* select ‘Namecheap Shared Hosting’ or input dns1.namecheaphosting.com/ dns2.namecheaphosting.com nameservers unless you have a shared hosting plan with us.

Namecheap PremiumDNS is a paid DNS service that can be used with any domain registered at any registrar. This option will be available for the domains that have a PremiumDNS subscription attached.

Nameserver changes are not instantly populated globally. Once your nameservers are changed, it may take up to 24 hours (more, in rare cases) for local ISPs to update their DNS caches so that everyone can see your website.

    That's it!

Select the domain name you want to use, click (Settings) and select Manage DNS.
    Under Nameservers, click Change.
Under Choose your new nameserver type, select Custom.
Enter the custom nameservers your hosting provider gave you and click Save.
