I'm migrating to another hosting service as current provider(aplus.net) suspended my account. The reason what they gave was, I had overused their CPU and Mysql resourses which is quite impossible. My site is just a community forum with photo sharing and maximum concurrent user in past few weeks was just 26. They are forcing me to upgrade to dedicated service which I can't afford($150/month) if I want my site online agiain. So I have no choice but to migrate. My budget limit is $30 and bandwidth/space requirement is 30gb. Any suggeston which hosting should i choose?

Hi, i would highly recommend a VPS for you. Your budget seems fair and what you require won't be a problem. Let me know if i can help you in any way.

I think a VPS plan would be a good solution in your situation, as you'll have the resources of dedicated hosting and the price that you can afford. Check
http://www.myriadnetwork.com/services/vds.php, seems to be quite affordable and feature-rich.

agreed! Look friend, the type of site you have simply sucks resources heavily from the server. Just like proxy sites, video sites and streaming sites and other sites that use Apache commands hard. I recommend at least a VPS for your situation. If you have any questions about why you think you need one, let us know.

I think you need a host who gives you good service with assurance, bandwidth and disk space with reasonable charges. Hey dude let me share my views…I have been a customer with Servage for a quite some time but have not faced any kind of suspension as yet. They provide quality service without any tall claims. If you opt this migration it would be certainly a great deal. Hey dude just checks it out. ..:)

I've had a lot of problems with my previous webhost, after a power outage, all my data got deleted on the server... it was very frustrating,
to say the least. I lost valueable business data and when i called them they didn't even have a backup of my data. At first they wanted
extra money for restoring the data, but then after i agreed to it, they told me that the data was lost forever. I knew immediatly that i must
find a better web host with better service ~and they weren't it!

Until then, I didn't realize how important it's to choose a web host. It has had a huge negative impact on my business.

There is a good article online how to pick the best web host (http://how-to-pick-the-best-web-host.com) which taught me what
to look for in a web host.

Since then i have been very careful about who to choose. I'll always research their business and call them first just to test their customer
service and response; and find out what others say about them.
Customer service is such a huge part of this business when things go wrong.

hope this helps.
Shelly.

I think the features you are talking about is something very basic and goes with all hosting companies. All of them provide 24x7 support and is quick and good most of the times.. Not a big deal buddy…..

Agree with the posts above, the site with photo sharing will need VPS, you might be also planning to upgrade later.
myriadnetwork.com services are definitely not overpriced. Read good reviews about them on WHT.
As an alternative you may go for a quality shared plan from another provider that will give you more resources. Check a2hosting.com, this company offers the cutting-edge hosting plans.

I use lunarpages. With lunarpages you don't need vps if your requirement is 30gb. basic lunarpages can take up to 300gb space and 3000gb of bandwidth and that's only about $7. it is far bellow your budget.

$30 is a good budget for a medium range VPS. Whats more, you have more control over your site and server resources.

Thats a great document for looking for a webhost.

At least you know the requirements you are looking for and thats a start. Research a few different companies before making your decision. Costs aren't the only thing that matter, try to ensure you are going to receive excellent aftercare and ongoing service.

For $30 you can get a VPS or semi-dedi from one of the following providers:
http://www.a2hosting.com/vps_hosting.php
http://www.webhostingbuzz.com/website-hosting.shtml?host_semi-dedicated-hosting
http://www.myriadnetwork.com/services/hosting.php

I recommend a vps for you. A virtual private server (VPS, also referred to as Virtual Dedicated Server or VDS) is a method of partitioning a physical server computer into multiple servers that each has the appearance and capabilities of running on its own dedicated machine. Each virtual server can run its own full-fledged operating system, and each server can be independently rebooted.
1 & 1 internet company provide a cheap vps. It's details are
Price : $19.99
CPU: unknown
RAM: 128MB
Space: 60GB
Bandwidth: 100GB
