Canaca.com offers 10gb/200gb plan for 4$/mth. Clearly, they must be overselling, but it's such a big company and I see their ads everywhere. Has anyone had any first hand experience with them? Can you really use the 200gb without any problems????

I think it was $4 a month if you paid for 2-3 years. I can't say much about them since I've heard good and bad reviews about them but I wish you the best of luck :D

good reviews are often made by the company themselves, the bad ones are always honest ;)

If they are providing 10Gb web space, then there must be downtime. There can always be only one of them at a place, either "quality" or "quantity". So don't impress with the amount of webspace they are providing. Look forward to some reliable hosts. There are many. Many have been discussed on HWHT forums. You may check'em out.

its true most of the time you pay for quality or quantity, so you have to pick which service you are after, when looking for a company

The best way in my opinion to have both 'quality' and 'quantity' is to create multiple accounts on reliable webspace providers and make links with each other. If you have a domain with URL cloaking you won't face any problem in doing so.

i personally dont have any experience with them. i heard several good word about them (from several users).

less then 5 buck. if you pay the FULL 4 years.. also check TOS. some limitations there.

i would never pay 4 years in advance! whats the chance of them lasting that long?!? ill tell you... small!

one year advance might sound practical but four? that's abit too uncertain. and even with money-back guarantees, you never know. if they close after 2 years, why should they care about their good name anymore when their closing? they could just run away with it. :(

in my opinion it is extremely hard to find a host that is both really cheap and reliable/stable. It's usually either one or the other.

Well I guess when ever looking into any web hosting company it really pays off to do all your homework. I don't know how you would go about it but maybe try to see if you can get in contact with any of there current clients and ask them.

But it dosnt sound all that promising to me given what has be said in this thread.

they just attract clients bec of there cheap rates but the matter is what kind of services they provide.
