I strongly recommend Help Center Live (http://www.helpcenterlive.com/). Not only is it free, but it also offers lots of the features that the more expensive helpdesk systems offer, and it also has good support and is updated reasonably frequently. Definitely consider giving this a shot. If you really want to go with paid software, then I'd agree with rackslash - Kayako is better than inverseflow.

Kayako is helping businesses everywhere grow their base of happy customers. Kayako best option.

Go to a few hosting review sites and read what people have said, there is a high chance that a host has written positive things about himself so you are looking for negative reviews because those will tell you the truth.

I haven't heard about the web host which you have specified. Anyway, from my personal experience, I would suggest TuckTail.com (http://www.tucktail.com/) as the best web host in terms of support and service. I have been with this web host for the past 6 years. I am extremely satisfied with their 24/7 customer support.
